About the Workshop

Program Overview

An interactive program combining discussion of beverage alcohol regulation with a guided comparative tasting of whiskies from around the world.

The Beverage Law Workshop: Whiskey & Whisky Law is an interactive program combining discussion of beverage alcohol regulation with a guided comparative tasting of whiskies from around the world.

Participants will taste approximately six whiskies from several jurisdictions while exploring how different legal frameworks define and regulate whiskey and whisky. As each whisky is introduced, the discussion will examine the laws governing its production, labeling, geographic identity, and regulatory framework.

Throughout the workshop, participants will compare how different countries approach the regulation of distilled spirits and how those legal definitions influence the character and identity of whiskies in the glass.

Curated food pairings will accompany the whiskies to complement the flavors of each selection and enhance the tasting experience.
